Effekta UK wishes to congratulate their partner company, Powervamp Ltd, on their successful performance at the 50th Paris Air Show earlier this year, where they exclusively provided ground power support for the entire event.
The Paris Air Show alternates each year with the Farnborough Air Show and although this is the 10th year that Powervamp has been involved with both prestigious shows, it was the first year the company had operated under Flywell-Powervamp, a joint venture with Flywell Power.
As the manufacturing division of the frequency converter products within the Powervamp Group, it was Effekta UK’s responsibility to supply the solid-state converters direct from their factory in Luton, to Paris for the event. Utilising several 38 tonne lorries, the safe delivery of the converters was key to the success of the show.
Powervamp founder and Director, Richard Roller, commented: “Supplying ground power to the big players in the aviation world can be a stressful and highly demanding operation. It requires a lot of planning, and demands an exceptionally close working relationship with the French organisers and their team. The complexity of the issues should not be underestimated.”
